Currently, pollution and global warming is a highly controversial problem, due to the various consequences it generates on health and the environment. There are studies that highlight that polluting carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions reached a new world record in 2021 with 36.3 billion tons due to the use of fossil fuels. These actions have generated an increase in acute and chronic diseases, due to the fact that certain ecosystems are being affected by global warming. These effects can be seen reflected in the wetlands of Ventanilla, located in the Callao Province, which in recent years has been reduced from 1,500 to 275.45 hectares, endangering 126 birds and 27 species of plants native to a certain place. That is why, faced with this problem, a low-cost weather station is proposed to determine environmental values, such as temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, altitude, ultraviolet radiation and toxic gases, in which it will be controlled by a microcontroller that will transmit via WIFI a free access IoT platform. On the other hand, the proposed system is intended to be used as an informative means to raise awareness among the population about the importance of conserving wetlands that are essential to stabilize excess CO2. Likewise, it is essential to recognize the importance of encouraging the implementation of meteorological stations in the various regions of Peru to obtain greater control regarding the care of biodiversity.
