Objective: To determine the social skills in adolescents from first to third grade of secondary school at the Educational Institution N°3041 Andrés Bello, LIMA-2020. Materials and methods: The approach is quantitative with a non-experimental, descriptive and cross-sectional design. 150 adolescents who met the established criteria. The data collection technique was the survey and the instrument was the Social Skills Scale (EHS). Results: Regarding social skills, it was found that 93 adolescents (62%) showed a medium level and 57 adolescents (38%) had a high level. Concerning the dimensions, the low level predominated in self-expression during social situations (50%), in defense of one's own rights as a consumer stood out the low level (48.7%), in expression of anger or disagreement the medium level predominated (64 .7%), the low level predominated in saying no and cutting off interactions (45.3%), there was a predominance of the medium level in making requests (62%) and the medium level predominated in initiating positive interactions with the opposite sex (52%). Conclusions: Regarding social skills, the medium level predominated followed by the high level; as to the dimensions, the low level predominated in three of them and the medium level in the other ones.
