The research refers to the role of plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR), Brevundimonas vesicularis strain S1T13 and Pseudomonas koreensis strain S4T10, to counteract the effects of drought in Arabidopsis thaliana plants, genotypes Col-0 and Atnced3 mutant deficient in the AtNCED3 gene, related to the ABA pathway. The effect of S1T13 and S4T10 shows a positive recovery, after the drought stress; by reducing the damage caused by the oxidation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) such as hydrogen peroxide H2O2 and superoxide anion -O2, the leakage of K+ electrolytes was reduced. Antioxidants were increased by the accumulation of (ROS), eliminating oxidative compounds by superoxide dismutase catalyzing -O2 into H2O and O2, peroxidose catalyzes H2O2 into H2O, glutathione protects the cell membrane preventing oxidative damage, polyphenol oxidizes, increases the antioxidant capacity favoring the symbiosis of the roots and (PGRs). Low expression of genes encoding ABA-related proteins, such as AtA03 and AtABA, improves plant health by controlling stomatal opening and closing. The expression of genes related to drought, such as AtDREB2A and AtDREB2B, activated the antioxidant defense system, inducing a rapid response to drought.
