Intestinal parasitosis is a disease caused by the entry of parasites or worms into the human body, causing conditions in the digestive system, being the most affected nutritionally and developmentally, the child population. This research work is carried out with the objective of determining the level of knowledge and preventive practices of parasitosis in mothers of preschool children in a South Lima Health Center, 2022. A descriptive methodology was used, with a quantitative approach, correlational, non-experimental and cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 288 mothers of preschool children who attended the Growth and Development service (CRED) at the Julio C. Tello Health Center, between the months of April and May, the sample was 74 mothers of preschool children, who was obtained through simple probabilistic sampling. For data collection, the survey was used as a technique and two questionnaires as an instrument. As a result, it was obtained that 58% of the mothers are 31 years of age or older, 47% have 3 to 4 children, 47% have completed high school and 62% are housewives. Likewise, 61% (45) of the mothers have a medium level of knowledge about intestinal parasitosis, 20% (15) have a low level and 19% (14) a high level. Regarding preventive practices, 81% (60) of the mothers perform it at a good level, 19% (14) perform it at a regular level and no mother has a bad level. Regarding the variables, there is a weak direct relationship (r = 0.2767) between knowledge and preventive practices. In conclusion, for the most part, the level of knowledge of mothers is medium and preventive practices are good.
