According to the Peruvian Institute of Economics (2022), the agroexport sector plays a crucial role as a driver of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) both globally and nationally, which contributes to a country's economic and social development. In the specific case of Peru, several crop varieties have been identified that not only boost the national GDP, but also generate dynamism in the different regions of the country, with the sweet yellow onion being an important crop in different regions of the country, particularly in the south of the country. In this sense, the present study aims to determine to what extent the productive innovation applied by sweet yellow onion exporting companies is related to their export performance during the 2018-2022 study period, for which the following dimensions were evaluated (i) product innovation, (ii) process innovation, and (iii) technological innovation. which. The population considered consisted of 24 exporting companies of national subheading 0703.10.00.00, during the period 2018 - 2022. Using a mixed approach with a descriptive-correlational design, qualitative and quantitative information was collected. This was achieved through semi-structured interviews with experts in the Peruvian agricultural sector to obtain qualitative data, and Likert-scale surveys directed at representatives of companies in the sector to collect quantitative data. Subsequently, the Atlas Ti version 23 and SPSS programs were used to analyze the objectives and validate the hypotheses presented. The main result revealed a positive relationship between the dimensions studied and the dependent variable, export performance.
