At present, lack of optimal riparian defense systems in the Peruvian Amazonian rivers has allowed occurrence of natural disasters. Main objective of this report is to model different alternatives of plate batteries and simulate in Iber with flow rates and bathymetry of the area to find most optimal alternative. Additionally, the HEC-HMS software was utilized to determine maximum flood flows for return periods of 25, 50, 100, 200, and 500 years. This data was then applied in IBER for hydrodynamic simulations, allowing the calculation of floods and the demarcation of vulnerable zones. The simulations focused on a 200-year return flow with a magnitude of 21,749.6 m3/s. The research comprised three simulations, each exploring different plate battery distributions, further categorized into two distinct angles of attack. The most relevant results, based on water velocity distributions, bed shear stress, specific discharge, and erosion along the channel, indicate that the alternative plate battery distributions yielding the best results in the channel were alternatives 1 and 3. In conclusion, it is found that the most optimal alternative and attack angle are alternative 1 and an angle of 20°, effectively counteracting erosion. In summary, the implementation of the submerged plate system in the river section has proven to be highly effective in reducing parameters such as bed shear stress, velocity, flow rate, and erosion, achieving a decrease of approximately 34% compared to the initial conditions of the terrain.
