he purpose of this research is to carry out a comparative analysis between the traditional mortar and the premixed mortar, as well as to evaluate how the premixed mortar influences the improvement of costs. Indicators such as setting time, unit weight, volume variation, degree of absorption, fluidity, mortar compression, axial compression of piles, diagonal compression of low walls and cost analysis were evaluated. It was concluded that the premixed mortar offers an efficiency of 111.1% in terms of compressive strength as required by NTP 399.610. Efficiency in terms of resistance to axial compression of piles of 105.1% and shear of 110.8% in accordance with the requirements of RNE E070. It has a setting time of 514 min, also the premixed mortar has a unit weight of 2193.76 kg/m3, thus, the premixed mortar has a volume variation of 0.005% and in terms of the degree of absorption it has an index of 1,724 mm. The influence of the mortar on the costs lies in the savings in labor that it generates and the higher performance, being that the premixed mortar generates a 53.2% savings in labor and provides 50% more than the performance generated by the traditional mortar. This makes traditional 1:3 mortar 12% more expensive than pre-mixed mortar, 1:4 mortar is 10% more expensive, and 1:5 mortar is 8.5% more expensive.
