The study aims to describe the experience lived on the synodal path by the parish community “San Juan María Vianney“ from the moments that comprise the synodal process initiated by Pope Francis in the Universal Church: discernment, listening, synodal meetings and the elaboration of synthesis with the contributions of the participants. To understand these experiences, the phenomenological method was used through techniques such as documentary analysis, semi-structured interviews and focus groups to collect testimonies in a population of 12 people, who belong to the main organization of the parish: Parish Priest, Parish Council and the Parish Pastoral Animation Team. Likewise, the results, processed through categorization and contrast, show that the San Juan María Vianney parish has taken important steps in the synodal process, since the experiences of its participants are marked by encounter, novelty, questioning, as well as the openness and initiative for being a Church on the way out. These elements are typical of the synodal process, according to what is indicated by the documents and instruments that the Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops is currently working on.
