The Covid-19 pandemic has negatively impacted Peruvian tourism, significantly reducing its income. Sustainable destinations and Peru as a safe destination were promoted to revitalize the sector. To support the activation of tourism in the Bongará Waterfalls Valley, a mobile application with augmented reality is proposed, considering the following objectives: Characterize the elements of a tourist guide to promote the Bongará Waterfalls Valley in Amazonas. Design augmented reality markers based on the characterization of a tourist guide using the SUM methodology in software development. Implement the architecture of the mobile application, integrating augmented reality markers to enhance the user experience in promoting the Bongará Waterfalls Valley. Validate the quality of the developed product, ensuring its compliance with established software development standards. Implement usability tests to ensure user acceptance. The software development followed the SUM methodology, consisting of five phases. The tourism concepts for the mobile application were characterized, and positive responses to the implemented modules were obtained (annex 03). The system was validated through TAM questionnaires and expert evaluations (annex 05). To measure final user satisfaction, the CES metric was used (annex 06), where 93.8% of respondents preferred to use the Go Travel Amazonas application for their tours. In conclusion, this research represents a technological and innovative contribution to the tourism sector.
