This research is oriented towards the design of a Border Integration Center with the purpose of strengthening the exchange activities at the La Balsa border, located between Peru and Ecuador. The main focus of the study is the use of temporary structures that adapt to the characteristics of the environment. The research process begins with an exhaustive analysis of the conditions of the border territory, which allows for the establishment of integration criteria. A key point is that, despite the existing territorial division, both communities share a similar lifestyle, land use and landscape. Subsequently, a local identification of activities in the border zone is carried out to understand their reality and possible trends. The use of the International Bridge is highlighted as the epicenter of the activities and as a symbol of the union between the two nations. This dynamic guide the intervention strategy, which should be adapted to the temporary and multifunctional nature of the bridge, providing a theoretical basis for the design proposal. Ultimately, a concrete proposal is presented for the creation of a Border Integration Center to facilitate binational activities in this unique context. The thesis addresses the importance of integration rather than division and seeks to promote a space that reflects unity and cooperation rather than political barriers. The proposal is based on a deep understanding of the local reality and aims to foster growth and harmony on the La Balsa, Peru-Ecuador border.
