Learning styles are the ways in which an individual perceives, processes and responds to information in their learning environment and study habits are the way in which a person faces their responsibilities as a student on a day-to-day basis with the ultimate goal of acquiring knowledge. The objectives of the research were to categorize the learning styles and study habits of medical students from the 7th to the 11th cycle of two universities in Lambayeque, determining them according to sex, study cycle and socio-academic characteristics. Two questionnaires were used: the Honey and Alonso Learning Styles Questionnaire and the CASM 85 Study Habits Inventory. It was determined that the theorist style had a higher percentage regardless of sex, academic cycle or university. In terms of study habits, the highest percentage of students were placed in the categories of positive, very positive and positive trend. The findings highlight the importance of adapting teaching strategies to students' learning preferences and emphasize the need to foster positive study habits from the early stages of medical education.
