Adobe constructions have demonstrated, throughout the history of Peru, a vulnerability to natural phenomena such as earthquakes. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the physical and mechanical characteristics of masonry elements made of earth reinforced with fibers and high-density polyethylene granules, using concentrations of 0.5%, 1%, and 1.5% by weight as reference, with each material analyzed independently in adobe. A methodology based on an experimental design was employed, which involved obtaining materials, preparing samples, and conducting tests on them. Among the most significant findings, it was observed that the optimal addition of 0.5% of fibers provides significant improvements in all the properties studied. These findings suggest that the inclusion of fibers in reinforced earth masonry can be an effective solution to enhance its strength and mechanical behavior. These results contribute to the knowledge in the field of sustainable construction and provide important information for future studies and practical applications in the construction industry.
