This thesis was developed with the purpose of implementing an expert system capable of improving the accreditation process in the Faculty of Engineering of the Universidad Catolica Sedes Sapientiae. The aforementioned Faculty was experiencing problems of effectiveness in measuring the level of student achievement when evaluating the evaluation instruments obtained by the students, which made the accreditation process difficult, so it chose to develop an expert system capable of solving the problem described. For this work, it was necessary to resort to field work based on a quantitative approach with a descriptive and explanatory scope, and following a pre-experimental design. For the collection of the required data, the survey technique was used, which was supported by a questionnaire of the accreditation process, as a pre-test and post-test, to a sample of 36 teachers of the aforementioned Faculty, corresponding to the academic semester 2019-02. After a statistical analysis of the collected data, it was concluded that, after the implementation of the expert system developed, the accreditation process of the Faculty of Engineering addressed was significantly improved, with a statistical error of 2.3418E-7. Similarly, the aforementioned accreditation process was improved in its dimensions of adaptability, productivity, efficiency and handling of distortions with statistical errors of 0.000002, 0.000067, 0.000413 and 0.002053 respectively.
