Diabetes mellitus is a very widespread disease in which several risk factors intervene in people. This disease does not respect gender, age, beliefs, socioeconomic level, it affects all age groups, causing complications. Therefore, new data predict that the number of people with diabetes will increase to 553 million in 2030. In addition, this disease is one of the five main health related risk factors for tuberculosis. Therefore, diabetes is the leading cause of blindness in people between 40 and 74 years of age. The present work, research project will be developed with the objective: Determine the knowledge about the prevention of diabetic foot, in patients with diabetes mellitus at the Pedro López Guillen Health Center, Lima 2024. Material and Method: it is a quantitative, descriptive approach, design non experimental and cross-sectional. The population is made up of 35 patients. Technique and instrument: a questionnaire was used, with prior authorization and informed consent of the participants. Results: the data collected will be processed, coded and entered into a design database in Excel and will be tabulated and processed under a system, using the statistical package SPSS version 22. Conclusion: the presence of diabetes in users is mainly associated with factors risk, therefore it is important to have prior knowledge of this disease and know the prevention of diabetic foot, to prevent amputations among others.
