In recent years, the sector will seek to reduce the impact that it generates through the environmental use of renewable materials or techniques with which the use of inputs can be renewed, in this way the buildings will have good air quality, natural lighting and adequate thermal regulation. Therefore, this research has as main objective to determine the economic impact of the implementation of the EDGE certification in the buildings located in the San Borja district, taking as a case study the La Pradera Multifamily Building, located in the same study area. For the development of this thesis, the cost structure of the case study was analyzed, and then through the evaluation and application of the sustainability criteria to obtain the EDGE certification, determine the economic impact on the profitability of the project as well as evaluate the environmental impact of the project. environmental project. Obtaining as results that the building achieved an energy saving of 21%, a water saving of between 26% and 30% and in materials a saving between 42% and 48% was separated through the use of materials with less incorporated energy. than the one established as a baseline in EDGE, likewise in the economic aspect the total estimated expenses for the construction of the La Pradera multifamily project is S/ 12,141,301.68, while the total income from the sale of the apartments that are part of the mentioned project is S/ 14,796,629.35, so the profit before taxes was S/ 2,65,5327.67, representing 21.8% of the expenses considered and the estimated profit after taxes was S/ 1,703,525.47 equivalent to 14.3 % of total expenses. In this way, it is concluded that the application of sustainability criteria to obtain the EDGE certification is profitable.
