Oportunidades de Desarrollo a través de la Política de Responsabilidad Social del Proyecto Corani en las Comunidades de Quelcaya y Chacaconiza año 2012 – 2013

Abstract

Esta investigación aborda la Política de Responsabilidad Social del Proyecto Minero Corani y las Oportunidades de Desarrollo generadas en las comunidades Puneñas de Quelcaya y Chacaconiza entre los años 2012 - 2013. El objetivo de la investigación es conocer y analizar la política de responsabilidad social antes mencionada de Bear Creek Mining Company, identificando los principales resultados, analizando también la percepción que tienen los residentes de las acciones de responsabilidad social para proponer medidas que garanticen el logro los resultados esperados por el proyecto Actualmente, grandes proyectos mineros, energía, petróleo, entre otros, buscan tener una relación cordial y una contribución para mejorar las condiciones de vida en las comunidades aledañas, por lo que una política de responsabilidad social es una herramienta fundamental para realizar sus operaciones. Muchas compañías en todo el país han tenido conflictos sociales porque no han manejado políticas sociales apropiadas para sus comunidades de intervención. Estos problemas han sido causados por una política inadecuada de responsabilidad social que finalmente ha llevado a la pérdida de millones de inversiones que podrían brindar oportunidades de desarrollo en el Perú. Sin embargo, también existen razones externas que pueden frustrar un proyecto grande, aunque estas otras razones no serán parte de la investigación llevada a cabo. En estos tiempos, tener una política de responsabilidad social es fundamental para el funcionamiento de las empresas y su relación con las poblaciones de su entorno de acuerdo con el enfoque moderno de la responsabilidad social corporativa; por lo tanto, la presente investigación busca que el modelo aplicado por Bear Creek en su política social hacia las comunidades sea estudiado, analizado y mejorado para la misma empresa y para los demás de la misma categoría que aplican la responsabilidad social a favor de las comunidades donde se ubican. Este trabajo de investigación es de naturaleza cualitativa debido al objeto de estudio que se ha implementado, la definición del tema de investigación y la selección de herramientas para recopilar y analizar información; De acuerdo con esto, las entrevistas se han aplicado a los miembros de la comunidad, ronderos y representantes de la empresa Bear Creek, describiendo y analizando las respuestas que contribuyen a los objetivos de la investigación. Para llevar a cabo este trabajo, se ha utilizado, además de fuentes de información primaria, como entrevistas semiestructuradas, información secundaria, como bibliografía especializada sobre el tema. Este trabajo servirá de guía para que los diferentes proyectos de desarrollo tengan un enfoque social, teniendo en cuenta la opinión de la población, su participación y sus perspectivas de desarrollo.

This research deals with the Social Responsibility Policy of the Corani Mining Project and the Development Opportunities generated in the Puneñas communities of Quelcaya and Chacaconiza between the years 2012 - 2013. The objective of the research is to know and analyze the aforementioned social responsibility policy of the Bear Creek Mining Company, identifying the main results, also analyzing the perception that the residents have regarding the actions of social responsibility in order to propose measures that guarantee to achieve the results expected by the project. Currently, large mining projects, energy, oil, among others, seek to have a cordial relationship and contribution in improving living conditions in the surrounding communities so a social responsibility policy is a fundamental tool to perform its operations. Many companies nationwide have had social conflicts because they have not managed social policies appropriate to their communities of intervention. These problems have been caused by an inadequate policy of social responsibility that has finally led to the loss of millions of investments that could bring development opportunities in Peru. However, there are also external reasons that can frustrate a large project, although these other reasons will not be part of the research carried out. In these times, having a social responsibility policy is fundamental for the functioning of companies and their relationship with the populations of their environment according to the modern approach of corporate social responsibility; therefore, the present research seeks that the model applied by Bear Creek in its social policy towards communities be studied, analyzed and improved for the same company and for the others of the same category that apply social responsibility in favor of the communities where locate This research work is of a qualitative nature due to the object of study that has been implemented, the definition of the research topic, and the selection of tools for gathering and analyzing information; According to this, the interviews have been applied to the community members, ronderos and representatives of the company Bear Creek, describing and analyzing the answers that contribute to the objectives of the investigation. To carry out this work, it has been used, in addition to primary information sources such as semi-structured interviews to secondary information such as specialized bibliography on the subject. This work will serve as a guide so that the different development projects have a social focus, taking into account the opinion of the population, their participation and their perspectives of development.
