Peru is a country with high entrepreneurial intention. However, Peru's leadership in intention contrasts with the little development and subsequent consolidation of the ventures. One of the reasons that prevents the development of Peruvian businesses are the so-called external factors: the country's economy, regulatory framework and informality. A second reason is the so-called internal factors. Among them are the lack of skills of the entrepreneur himself and the entrepreneurial orientation of the new business. The purpose of this research is to explore the relationship between entrepreneurial education, skills and entrepreneurial orientation in the context of a university program in which Peruvian students and entrepreneurs with small businesses participate. To measure entrepreneurial skills, the Entrecomp model will be used (Bacigalupo et al., 2017). For the medication of entrepreneurial orientation, the Lumpkin and Dess model will be used (Lumpkin & Dess, 1996). The research has a quantitative approach and uses structural equation modeling by the partial least squares method (PLS-SEM for information processing and analysis. The contribution of this study will be a theoretical contribution to the understanding of education and entrepreneurial skills and the relationship of both with entrepreneurial orientation. The study determined that there is a relationship between education and entrepreneurial skills. Also, between skills and entrepreneurial orientation. However, not all skills are equally important. Participants value the ability to learn based on their own practical experience.
