Language is a human faculty that allows the exchange of ideas and feelings due to the innate need to socialize and the ability to formulate thoughts; Language development is linked to a neuropsychological evolution that depends on the degree of maturation and the socio-cultural environment. Today, research reports an increase in children with language problems who, upon entering school, have many difficulties in advancing at the same pace as their peers. The objective of this case study is to design an evaluation and intervention plan according to the difficulties presented by a 3-year-old 1-month-old girl with language delay. Language delay refers to the gap in the acquisition or organization of language, hindering the development of language components that affect the entire expressive process. The hybrid intervention model is followed, which focuses on specific objectives, where activities and materials are controlled to stimulate the child to use specific linguistic behaviors spontaneously, using resources to respond to the child and model their language. The results show achievements in the identification and verbalization of simple sentences of the type S+V+S, S+V+D+O, D+S+V+D+O as well as improvement in the intelligibility of their expressions when emitting words of 2, 3 and 4 syllables respecting their metrics by eliminating phonological processes in the syllabic coda /n/; in addition to the establishment of relationships between words through complementary associations. It is concluded that the intervention plan applied allowed the girl to show progress in the morphosyntactic, phonetic-phonological and lexicon-semantic components.
