The present study analyzes subjective experience, community processes and the initiatives developed by the participants of the Certificate Program in Socioemotional Education for Scholar Wellbeing, intended to public school teachers (PUCP – MINEDU covenant). Experiences and significations of the participants (managers, teachers and students from de program) were collected in interviews and group sessions that were analyzed using a qualitative and phenomenological method. The results show how the formative processes developed by communitary psychology could offer an effective alternative to attend psychosocial problems that affect Peruvian society. In that sense, emotional education for public school teachers appears as a preventive strategy to the violence in schools because it promotes a new kind of relationships and problematization of the school violence phenomenon. Through participation, recognition of the other and self-care, reflexive and critical process are facilitated about the reality and allow the development of strategies to help educative communities.
