The objective of this research is to determine the Identify the possibility variables which affect the acceptance of light pick-up vehicle prices within the most important mining companies in Peru since there are not many studies focusing on determining those variables and it is more complex to find such information aimed to the business to business (B2B) marketing, in other words the commercial relation between the automotive sector and the Peruvian mining companies. Furthermore, with this research we establish a basis for future related studies. For this purpose, a qualitative research was carried out through semi-structured interviews towards two specialized target audiences which know about and are related to the acceptance of light pick-up vehicle prices in both sectors. In the case of the automotive sector, the profiles which contributed to our research are the commercial and marketing areas from the following relevant companies such as Toyota, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Ford, and Kia. As well as intermediate companies (Renting) such as MB Renting, Tair Renting and Arval Relsa Peru. In the case of the mining sector, the audiences which were interviewed were corresponding to the operations management, logistics and contracts. Considering the most important mining companies in Peru such as Antamina, Las Bambas, Antapaccay, Cerro Verde Mining Society, Quellaveco, Chinalco, Yanacocha, Marcobre and Southern Peru Copper Corp. After analyzing the gathered information, we validate that the price is not the only determining variable for the acceptance of light pick-up vehicle prices, but other relevant variables are glimpsed which we will explain in the following sections of our study. The automotive industry is highly competitive and so they must innovate in how they offer their products to the aimed market in areas such as technology, comfort, and maximum safety to the passengers; and above all, quality customer service, where added values are even offered. As such, the companies must set their prices considering these new factors but always respecting the fixing of the method based on the value for the B2B customer managing to exceed their expectations. Due to the current ongoing pandemic, the companies have succeeded adapting their processes to the new biosafety protocols issued by the Peruvian Health Minister. Finally, the results of the analysis are presented as conclusions and recommendations for each sector and are focused on the implementation of marketing strategies which play a major role in the perception of the quality and loyalty of a brand. This creates competitive advantages which allow the companies to develop their commercial and marketing management.
