In Peru, for many children living in poverty, access to quality education and a well rounded formation is not a right, but a privilege. This inequality in education is lived and experienced by the children of the Human Settlement “Santa Rosa“, in the district of Puente Piedra in Lima. Faced with this situation, the married couple Lis Perez and Eddy Ramos decided to create “Quijote para la Vida“, a community living culture project, whose purpose is to promote reading, culture and provide school reinforcement to children in the area who need it the most. “Quijote para la Vida“ has currently more than 15 years of experience thanks to the work of its directors; however, this project is in danger, since having few directors and volunteers does not guarantee its sustainability over time. Therefore, the “Familia Quijote project” offers a sustainability proposal through a communication strategy that looks forward to make mothers and fathers the key to maintaining and even expanding the project through their active participation as strategic allies
