The absence of a Philosophy course in the Peruvian basic education curriculum and the lack of a critical-reflective approach are factors that affect the formation of critical thinking in secondary school students. For this reason, it is necessary to reconsider the implementation of methodologies for the teaching of philosophy that involve the exercise of dialectics, and address a theoretical content through graphic communication strategies such as those from graphic design. Faced with this situation, the Socrates Café Project has been developed, an educational initiative that aims to integrate the dynamics of Practical Philosophy and the visual resources of Graphic Design in order to generate an alternative methodological proposal aimed at Peruvian students between 15 and 17 years old. The project was validated with two groups of users belonging to the fourth and fifth year of high school respectively; from these experiences, new factors have been identified to take into account in the development of a comprehensive philosophy teaching project involving both theory and practice
