The present research arises from the question-problem: how do parents, within the framework of distance education, favor the development of autonomy of three years old children from a public institution in Magdalena del Mar? For the purposes of this study, the informants are made up of eight parents. Furthermore, the general objective is: Analyze the parenting practices that favor the development of autonomy in children of this age group. In addition, it is formulated as specific objectives: Identify the parental practices that parents apply to promote the autonomy of their children and describe the actions that they carry out to achieve the aforementioned. Such objectives are investigated through a qualitative methodology, descriptive level, implementing the semi structured type interview to collect information. Thus, it is concluded that; on the one hand, within the framework of distance education, positive parenting practices and practices based on positive discipline strategies are extremely important to promote the autonomy of infants, since they face demands inherent to their family and school environment. On the other hand, the actions and / or strategies that make up such practices are based on positive dimensions. In this sense, this study makes it possible to make visible these findings.
