In 2020, the entire Peruvian educational system had a sudden change when, due to the pandemic generated by COVID-19, all teachers and students had to stay at home and implement remote classes as soon as possible. Since then, and over the months, teachers have had to update themselves on virtual education issues and learn, under their own means, about this modality. In this scenario, information skills, an important skill within digital literacy, is the starting point for teachers to find information, assess its reliability and accuracy, as well as store it for future retrieval. This research has a qualitative approach, which aims to analyze the teachers' perception of their information skills through an interview, which has been designed, validated and applied to a group of informant teachers who express their opinions and experiences in relation to their information skills and the role these skills play in their daily work as educators. As a result, the main informational habits of the teachers in each section of the interview are described and the perception of the strengths and opportunities for improvement considered by the teachers is described. The sections with the greatest strengths are the section for browsing, searching and filtering information, followed by the section for storing and retrieving information. However, evaluation of information, data and digital content shows an opportunity for improvement in their practice for teachers.
