This document reports the exercise of pre-professional practices carried out in the period 2020- 2021 in a mental health institution in Lima under the modality of rotation in two areas. During the first part of the internship, we worked in the rehabilitation area with a population diagnosed mostly with schizophrenia and comorbidities with cognitive deficits; however, during the exercise of functions, the state of emergency was established in our country due to COVID-19, so the activities ceased abruptly. Subsequently, efforts were made to modify care to the new virtual format, based on research on the application of telepsychology and training patients on the use of technological tools. After having established the new modality, efforts were directed towards meeting the main learning objectives for the process of preprofessional practices, that is, deploying and consolidating the competencies diagnoses, intervenes and evaluates, the details of which are described throughout this document. In this way, the main deficiencies were identified, and alternatives were proposed based on theoretical and empirical research. Then, after rotation, we worked in cognitive behavioral therapy, using the corresponding theoretical framework in conjunction with the virtual proposals. As a result, virtual care for individual and group therapies as well as for evaluations and diagnoses of new patients was established.
