To date, there is little knowledge about the health and lifestyles of the inhabitants of Cerro de Oro during the Middle Horizon period. For this work, individuals excavated by the Cerro de Oro Archaeological Program and by Julio César Tello in 1925 were analyzed. Through this research we sought to delve into the possible differences in the quality of life of the inhabitants of Cerro de Oro during the Middle Horizon. through the comparison of health status (specifically the prevalence of non-specific stress indicators) between the various groups that make up that society (different age, ethnic, gender, social status groups and inhabitants of different “neighborhoods”). The results of this research indicated to us that the inhabitants of Cerro de Oro had similar health and ethnic markers, and that almost the entire sample presented the same pathologies and the same type of cephalic modification. This leads us to think that this society was structured under a communal socio-political organization, which is why possibly the individuals at this site had a similar way of life
