In recent years, creative writing has become more relevant in the classroom as a favorable means for the development of written production processes, making writing an enriching activity. Thus, the theme of this research is creative writing within the process of written production of narrative texts, in order to answer how creative writing develops in the process of written production of narrative texts of second grade students of a private educational institution in Metropolitan Lima? In this sense, it seeks to analyze the development of creative writing in the process of written production of narrative texts of the students in question. Likewise, this study is based on a qualitative approach and is descriptive. To collect the information, the observation technique is applied and as instruments: an observation guide and a checklist. In addition, for the analysis and interpretation, the coding technique is used and as an instrument for the analysis of an open-source matrix. The research concludes that the creative writing proposal implemented by a teacher develops procedures, the implementation of techniques and sources of creation, involves the teacher from their various roles and gives a leading role to students. This promotes the significant development of the processes of written production of narrative texts by students by deploying techniques and sources of creation themselves, developing their productions creatively, reflexively reviewing their productions, and socializing them. Finally, it is recommended that the teacher diversify the techniques and sources of creation within her creative writing proposal
