The emergence of the coronavirus in December 2019 in Wuhan, China, has had a major impact on educational organizations worldwide. This scenario has led to many of the organizations deciding to use the technological resources exist to seek to create teaching-learning material to ensure the continuation of educational services. Although, in some cases, the adoption of technologies for virtual education was a process in which organizations were well underway, few were really prepared. Faced with this sudden and unexpected change, for many actors in the educational field, the pertinent concern of guaranteeing quality in virtual education emerges. In this sense, the present research aims to “analyze satisfaction with respect to virtual education in students of universities in southern Peru“ based on the four components of satisfaction. This study was approached from a quantitative approach with an exploratory scope in addition to being of a non-experimental transactional type. Regarding the results, we can point out that the students surveyed have a preference for virtual education; however, their current levels of satisfaction, measured through a Likert scale, reach maximum levels of 3.6 out of a possible 5. Therefore, it is opportune to study and know the satisfaction levels in order to improve them. In addition, the “quality of interaction between peers and teachers“ together with the “quality of contents and materials“ are the most relevant components when we talk about university students and their satisfaction.
