This research is entitled teachers' perceptions about democratic coexistence and participation of 5-year-old children from a Public Educational Institution in Comas. The study considers as a general objective to analyse the perceptions of teachers about democratic coexistence and participation of 5-year-old children in a Public Educational Institution of Comas. Regarding the specific objectives, in the first place, it is considered to describe the discourses on democratic coexistence presented by the teachers of the 5-year-old children of a Public Educational Institution of Comas, and as a second objective, it is to describe the discourses of the teachers about the participation of 5-year-old children from a Public Educational Institution of Comas. On the other hand, this descriptive study presents a qualitative approach that manifests itself from the problem of correctly knowing the perceptions of teachers about democratic coexistence and participation of 5-year-old children. Likewise, the design of the instrument, which analyses the teaching perceptions, is the interview, applying a semi-structured guide, and complying with the ethical protocols. Finally, the research shows that teachers' perceptions considering democratic coexistence and participation as fundamental axes for the development of children, as well as highlighting, in the study, the importance of exercising participatory practices that promote democratic coexistence in children through a pedagogy of listening.
