Currently, consumer behavior is shifting towards prioritizing “living“ and deriving happiness from experiences rather than simply acquiring possessions, prompting brands and advertisers to seek emotional connections with consumers. In this context, Marketing Communication Events (ECM) have emerged as an effective tool for delivering authentic and personalized experiences. The objective of this study is to identify the primary Strategic Experiential Module (type of experience) present in “Batalla de Gallos Peru 2023“ event organized by Red Bull, within the framework of “meaningful advertising”. The hypothesis is that the primary MEE of the event is hybrid in nature and varies based on event stages and types of audience. To accomplish this, it is mandatory to use the Experiential Matrix of the “Batalla de Gallos”, adapted from matrices proposed by Schmitt (2006) and Torrents (2005). Additionally, theories by Masterman and Wood (2008) and Brown (2001) are incorporate to evaluate the event across three stages: invitation, event experience, and spread of the experience. The research adopts a qualitative, inconclusive approach with a primary focus on descriptive and exploratory analysis. Various methodologies are utilized, such as chronological event analysis, participant observation, interviews, focus groups, and surveys. In conclusion the event indeed fostered a hybrid MEE, emphasizing both the “cognitive experience“ and the “emotional experience“, with variations observed based on the type of audience and event stages.
