Gender differences in Peru, especially in the workplace, have generated a problem of occupational segregation for women in the country. This situation influences the impossibility for women to develop their ability to generate income and own resources under similar conditions. One of the sectors that present the most significant disproportion is the home repair sector, which opens various possibilities to offer women an option to improve their livelihood through learning a job. Secondly, the absence of trained and reliable technicians to repair the damages in Lima's households opens more opportunities to create a business model with the potential to generate jobs for women. By providing trained personnel to perform plumbing, electricity, and gas services, with a standardized price, reliability, service guarantee, and security for households in Metropolitan Lima of socioeconomic levels A and B. This thesis proposes the development of a digital service platform called Power Women which will put women technicians specializing in household repairs in contact with households in Lima that need services. Power Women will offer training for the technicians and, as a legally constituted company, will provide a guarantee of service for clients and constant training for the technicians. Our proposal is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals [SDGs] 1, 5, 8, and 10 as it directly impacts women's economic well being, gender equality, and the reduction of inequalities. Finally, the financial viability analysis demonstrates that the project is perfectly viable since, at the end of the fifth year of operation, it obtains a net present value of S/1’179,650, with an internal rate of return of 109%.
