Our research focuses, within the framework of Geometry, on the study of the geometric transformations of figures in the plane in the movements of rotation and translation through a proposed didactic sequence to analyze the role of apprehensions in the figural register. used in the study of geometric transformations in the plane through rotation and translation movements in cycle VII of Regular Basic Education (EBR). For this we rely on Duval's Semiotic Representation Theory of Records (1994). Likewise, we use aspects of the qualitative methodology and our sources are secondary. All this allows us to propose a didactic sequence to achieve the objective described. We must mention that our research is not experimental in nature given the exceptional situation as a result of COVID-19, but it is aimed at achieving learning in cycle VII of EBR. Our sequence of activities is composed by three situations within the framework of Geometry within the teaching of Mathematics, the first contains five activities, the second situation consists of four activities and the third situation consists of an activity that uses the support of the resource GeoGebra software. All the activities proposed in each of the situations were analyzed and significantly helped to understand the geometric processes involved according to the apprehensions in the figural register according to Duval (1994) when solving the proposed activities related to the geometric transformations of figures in the plane. in rotational and translational movements. Also, in the reference research reviews, we found common difficulties in learning transformations such as not developing the topic of transformations in the classroom, not encouraging the use of the pencil and compass to perform geometric transformations and the absence of the use of technological tools as didactic support.
