The present research seeks to identify the relationships between the factors attitude, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived trust and perceived risk with the intention to use mobile applications for money transactions Yape and Plin; the participants in this study are over 18 years old and live in Metropolitan Lima who uses these applications in their daily lives. The general objective is to propose a new Technological Acceptance Model, based on the Technological Acceptance Model (TAM) proposed by Davis et al. (1989), which allows analyzing the factors involved in the acceptance of the use of mobile applications for money transactions using cell phones. The research was non-experimental, correlational and transversal, data collection was conducted from March to July 2021 in a global pandemic, a survey technique was used, a 21-items questionnaire was designed, applied to a sample of 385 people over 18 years old in Metropolitan Lima who uses Yape or Plin for their money transactions. With regard to the hypotheses proposed in relation to the factors attitude, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, perceived risk, perceived trust and intention to use, four of the eight hypotheses proposed were not significantly confirmed. The factor that had the greatest effect on the intention to use was perceived usefulness. Some reasons for the rejected hypotheses involving aspects such as pandemic and idiosyncrasy are discussed.
