This thesis addresses teachers' perceptions of psychomotor activities for the development of self-esteem in 3-year-old classrooms. The research topic arises from the problem: What are the perceptions of teachers about the development of self-esteem in the psychomotor activities of 3-year-old children from a private educational institution in Lima Metropolitana? To respond to this, the study is applied to three nursery education teachers from a private educational institution in Lima Metropolitana, with the general objective of analyzing teacher perceptions of psychomotor activities in the development of self-esteem and the specific objectives of identifying the motor activities that the teacher uses to promote the construction of self-esteem in 3-year-old children and describe the perceptions of teachers about psychomotor activities in children in the 3-year-old classroom. The study corresponds to the qualitative methodology at a descriptive level. A semi-structured interview guide was applied to find out the perceptions and conclude that teachers plan and execute their psychomotor activities differently, ranging from psychomotor practice to psychomotor intervention and assume the global approach of psychomotor skills, and develop self-esteem by showing playful activities that allow expressing emotions, developing self-confidence and self-image, self-control, selfassessment, interact, recognize one's own body and the environment. This thesis provides a vision about the way in which the informants develop their psychomotor practices and how they link them to the development of self-esteem.
