This research work is descriptive simple and has as purpose to identify the characteristics vowels in a population of teachers from primary and secondary levels, which belong to a public school in the district of San Borja. To collect the data relating to the voice, three instruments were applied: The Schema for the assessment of voice of Maria Ines Redher, the index of disadvantage Vowel (IDV) of Mara Behlau and program of analysis and synthesis of speech - PRAAT. Also, we used the technique of systematic observation, which allowed to register information specific to the quality of voice, respiratory dynamics, intensity, frequency, articulation, among others. It is also employed the psychometric testing, which allows to measure attitudes or behaviors in the dimensions of physical, mental and social well-being of teachers in relation to any alteration of your voice. As to the results obtained, it was concluded that there is a significant percentage of primary and secondary teachers showing alteration of the glottic closure, improperly influencing on the dynamics fonatoria. In addition, referring to the maximum time sustained-release (TMF), it was found 1/3 of the population of the primary level and a little less than half of the secondary level are below the normal parameters influencing the projection of the voice.
