The deposit that currently exists at the Pallancata mining unit does not have constant vein widths, so it is necessary to look for new methods to be able to exploit the deposit efficiently. The objective of this research is to reduce the current dilution in breasting stopes, using segregation blasting, reduce the current dilution from 250% on average to 100%, for sections of 3.5m x3.5m with width vein less than 2 meters. The study was carried out with the resources and materials that were already available within the company to avoid incurring additional expenses, more specifically; it was carried out within two pilot pits (GL 2087 and BA 1905), at Pablo vein. The Pablo vein presents a low zone with potencies between 2 to 5 meters with dips between 70 to 90 degrees where Bench and fill is carried out and a high zone where it presents potencies between 80 centimeters to 2 meters with dips between 50 to 70 degrees where it is carried out mechanized cutting and filling, the latter being the focus of the thesis. This vein which was conditioned for the correct measurement of data. The necessary machinery for the unit processes of drilling, blasting and hauling was provided by the mining company in coordination with different outsourced companies. The meshes and results obtained may only be applicable to operations that have the same geological and geomechanical characteristics. New meshes were proposed that better fit the data obtained previously, generating new standards.
