This research is a quantitative descriptive study, whose general objective is to describe how teletherapy specialists, adolescents, adults and parents perceive the effect of teletherapy in the treatment of the patients with speech and orofacial motility disorders by the Diagnostic and Treatment Institute (CPAL). In order to prevent the transmission of COVID-19, in 2020 most of the governments decreed that the population should be locked down in their homes and that the educational and therapy institutions should be closed. When facing this challenge, health professionals who used to give in-person therapy found an alternative in electronic means to continue giving therapy virtually. This research has collected data by means of a survey from a group of 47 patients (6 adolescents, 15 adults and 26 parents answered the questionnaire) and a group of 23 specialists. In order to collect the data, it was necessary to prepare three questionnaires: one for the specialists, a second one for the adolescent and adult patients, and a third one for the parents of the patients. These questionnaires allowed us to gather information in five main dimensions. The results demonstrate that the sample of teletherapy specialists and patients agree that teletherapy is a viable way of conducting therapy, and that they would recommend it to other parents. In addition, most of the parents stated that they had achieved the objectives of the teletherapy.
