This study aims to analyze the relationship between motivational contexts (autonomy support and chaos), basic psychological needs (satisfaction and frustration), self-efficacy, job satisfaction and core of burnout in university teachers. The sample was composed of 164 teachers from an engineering faculty of a private university in Metropolitan Lima. The mean age of teachers is M = 49.97 years (SD = 12.4). The information was collected through five instruments that assessed the constructs mentioned in the aim of the study. Moreover, good validity and reliability properties were found in the studied sample. To test the study model, a path analysis was used, and the fit indices obtained were good: SBS (3) = 3.01, (p = .39), RMSEA = .005, SRMR = .011, CFI = 1. Results gave evidence to the hypotheses. It was found that teachers' perception of autonomy support from the authorities positively predicts job satisfaction and self-efficacy, having the basic psychological need satisfaction as a mediating variable. In addition to this, it was found that chaos provided by authorities predicts the core of teachers' burnout and low self-efficacy, and this relationship is mediated by basic psychological need frustration. On the other hand, no evidence was found regarding the mediating role of selfefficacy in the relationship between basic psychological need satisfaction and frustration and job satisfaction and core of burnout.
