This paperwork contains an analysis for the legal, public and environmental management viability applied in the implementation of the collective environmental management instruments in agricultural projects for the micro and small companies located contiguously in maritime-coastal areas of the peruvian coast, at the case of Sechura Bay, department of Piura. As a result, the next pages demonstrate the significant contribution offered by this type of environmental impact assessment for an efficient environmental management of the micro and small mariculture in our country, as the necessity of institutional reforms and the enforcement of the competitiveness of the aquacultural developers, in order to promote the sustainable development of the local economies and the achievement of the environmental policy objectives at the national and international level. In that sense, this paperwork is also a review for the scope of the promotion of collective environmental management instruments out in the process of the environmental impact assessment in the micro and small mariculture projects according to the peruvian regulations, taking into account foreign regulation and specialized international organizations proposals. It must be warned that in this research will not be analyzed (at least in detail) (i) the environmental supervision, control and sanction in mariculture projects organized through collective environmental management instruments, (ii) the guidelines for the collective environmental management instruments in mariculture or other activities or (iii) an integrated analysis of institutional changes and incentives for the proper functioning of collective environmental management instruments in the aquaculture subsector.
