Sustainable Development has taken on greater importance since the Paris Agreement that was signed in December 2015 at COP21, in which different countries committed to doing everything in their power to achieve compliance with the 2030 Agenda. Therefore, this Professional Sufficiency Work (PSW) details the significant teaching experience (STE) based on the teaching of environmental citizenship and sustainable development and the contributions in the professional training of undergraduate students in charge of the Social Responsibility Department of a private university in Lima. The purpose of the course is to increase the participation of the university community in caring for the environment and its social commitment to its surroundings. In addition, it allows the adaptation of social and environmental issues as workshops including field trips. In fact, there are sufficient sources of verification, such as the syllabus, number of students who participated, photos of the sessions inside and outside the classroom, development of the sessions, among others. In addition, the course works jointly coordinating the activities in charge of the area of social responsibility for the transmission of topics of interest by students. Finally, STE seeks to meet a need of the educational community such as environmental citizenship and sustainable development, highlighting the role of this university social responsibility as part of the institutional articulation both with regard to the academic curriculum and community life and its environment taking into account what was learned during the Special Degree Program (SDP).
