In the process for accreditation of universities, one of the key factors to be evaluated is the teaching staff. This indicator deserves a reflection from the university management on the actions directed to the teachers not only for the improvement of their educational profile, but also to strengthen their institutional ties. In this thesis, the purpose of the study is the induction process of new teachers from the point of view of institutional identification. Therefore, an analysis is made for the role of information management in this process. At the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, each semester start teaching in average 150 professors, mostly new graduates of the PUCP, who have some information from the student point of view but not from the perspective of the teaching practice. There are also professionals and teachers with or without previous experience in other institutions, whose link with teaching and the organization is completely new. At this juncture, we will review the actions that work with this group, the main concepts related to the processes of socialization and/or induction, the proposals, and the views of the administrative and academic management of this process. We will make a diagnosis of the current process of induction in the PUCP aimed to new teachers, with the contribution of those involved, to propose guidelines that allow the central management of the University to generate a strategy that facilitates the process of immersion for the teacher into the teaching system and allow retention of new talent. In this thesis, we will not address the methodological aspect, an important part of the teaching practice and of the formation of its own identity as a teacher, but the knowledge and connection that the teacher has with the institution which are factors that influence their performance during their professorial career. In this manner, it is intended to show all the aspects that should be considered in order to propose a program that efficiently integrates institutional information and academic information in order to ensure an adequate immersion of the teacher to the University.
