This study was proposed and carried out with the purpose of knowing, analyzing and strengthening the situational status of the Work Training Area of the educational program of the Public Educational Institution of Private Management Cristiania, aimed at female teenagers in a state of vulnerability at Chorrillos district. The I.E.P.G. Cristiania directs her intervention towards teenagers in a state of vulnerability that are part of dysfunctional families, in a state of abandonment, extreme poverty, orphanhood and sexual harassment, among others. Given the nature of this qualitative research, a representative sample of the population under study has been considered, to which the semi-structured interview technique has been applied, as well as a survey and a psychological test, called: the Emotional Intelligence Inventory BarOn ICE: NA, which measures the students emotional intelligence; in addition, the documentary review of the case has been carried out. The obtained results support the following sentence: The aims, objectives, and actions of the I.E.P.G. Cristiania are aligned with the national educational policy as they seek to train women leaders capable of undertaking and self-managing their own income and inserting themselves into the labor market; for this, within the area of training for work, they develop three workshops: Computer and Information Technology, Food Industry and Cosmetology, as well as a cross-sectional workshop called Business Management. On the other hand, for the development of these workshops, the I.E.P.G. Cristiania has a well-defined organization, as well as adequate infrastructure and equipment, guarantees of the good development of the aforementioned workshops. Likewise, 100% of the subjects in the sample consider that they always —or almost always— feel satisfied by the contents of the training workshops for work, because they are of interest for their daily life and allow them to undertake, devise and develop projects in order to offer goods and provide services, in addition to handling equipment and utensils. With regard to the development of soft skills, such as teamwork, strengthening selfesteem and always and the required resilience, it has been found that, according to the perception of the educational community, female students have such skills very well developed; but, in contrast to the results of the BarOn ICE: NA test, they have been found to be at a level of development even below the established average. Regarding to technical skills, female students feel self-realized and confident, because they learn and understand what they know how to do, know how to use and know how to undertake. The main recommendation is that it should have an impact on generating, developing and fortifing activities that are geared towards the effective acquisition of soft skills, which should be properly supervised and evaluated.
