In Peru, every year approximately, there are two thousand tons of plastic generated by the bottles used in pesticides. These bottles are made with virgin plastic (HDPE, PET or COEX) and in their elaboration there is no contribution to the circular economy. Unfortunately, these single use bottles are discarded in farmers' fields and riverbeds, causing damage to the environment. For this reason, this project provides a solution that would reduce the virgin plastic use in the agrochemical industry, promoting the circular economy. As part of this project, user research has been done to identify their needs. After that, a minimum viable product was designed, and the result was to elaborate bottles for agrochemicals made with recycled plastic that meet all the industry quality standards and whose elaboration process will have a positive impact due to reduction of virgin HDPE use. That is how Eco Flex project is developed, the FARMEX S.A. intrapreneurship, which will provide a bottle´s proposal made with recycled plastic for the agrochemical industry. To implement this project, there will be an initial investment of S/1’332,622. A bank will finance S/1’085,370 and the rest will come from shareholders. This proposal will have a net present value (NPV) of S/ 2’386,423 and an internal rate of return (IRR) of 31 %, with a projection of the first five operation years and with an investment recovery projected in the third year. Once the financial analysis is finalized, the project economic viability is proven, as this project represents an attractive investment proposal for Farmex S.A. where profitability is obtained through another business line; which contributes to the value generation and to the circular economy creation of bottles within the agrochemical sector. Finally, the project has a positive impact on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) accomplishment, with a 31 % of the SRI (Social Relevance Index), as this project meets with five goals from the sixteen proposed in Peru, promoting responsible management and efficient resource use.
