This research aims to identify indicators of change in community mental health of a Quechua-speaking Andean population that was affected by the internal armed conflict in the region of Apurimac and participated in a psychosocial intervention. The participants were residents of a rural community of the Province of Cotabambas. Qualitative methodoly was used, and semi-structured interview and group discussion were used for data collection. The results are organized in three dimensions that posed eight indicators of change in community mental health. Sense of well-being is one dimension which includes indicators on the ability of self-awareness, seeking help, and future vision and hope. Another dimension is the collective development, which involves indicators of social support and community management. Finally, the dimension of citizenship and governance includes indicators of community participation and organization, recovery role of authority and exercise of rights and citizenship.
