This research is carried out by noting the importance of building the cultural identity of primary school students as it encourages them to assume responsibilities, acquire a sense of belonging to the nation and have good self esteem (Cépeda, 2010). In addition, MINEDU (2016) emphasizes that ICTs allow students to spread their culture and interact from their respective cultures to create knowledge, to appreciate and incorpore other traditions. Due to this, the qualitative and descriptive research was carried out, with the question: What are the ICT-mediated didactic strategies that promote the construction of cultural identity in a fourth grade class of a public school in Lima Metropolitana? The general objective is: To analyse the teaching strategies mediated by ICTs that promote the construction of cultural identity in a fourth-grade class of a public school in Lima Metropolitana. Therefore, these strategies referring to those of self-knowledge, contextualization and diffusion are analysed through of information gathering instruments such as the survey and the interview guide for students, a teacher and a parent, respectively. Based on the results, it is concluded that cultural identity can be constructed through didactic strategies mediated by ICTs, since they favour and promote working on self-knowledge, contextualization and dissemination with primary school children. Thus, it is recommended that the strategies be used in the classroom in a contextualized and progressive way.
