This present investigation emerges from the interest in bringing together internal body spaces with dance and natural elements. For it I describe my experience as a participant in Workshop 1 (Taller 1): Inmersión: “Paisajes en movimiento_poéticas de la naturaleza y el cuerpo” where I analyze the methodology from professor Carola Robles into the practice of BodyMind Centering®, and in the Workshop 2 (Taller 2): “Cuerpo ritual_retiro de movimiento y saberes andinos” where I approach the practice of Authentic Movement from the methodology designed by the teacher Marisel La Rosa. Specifically, both workshops were realized on The Sacred Valley of the Incas in the city of Cusco-Perú (2021-2022), where one of the main characteristics of the place is the abundant vegetation that composes it. The main object of this research it´s about relating the embodiment process while exploring and creating somatic movement within natural spaces. On that account, I interview the teachers aiming for more detailed information about their methodologies and I use logbooks and diaries to portray my experiences. It begins from the observation of the processes that the body goes through while being in natural surroundings, from an embodied feeling, they are optimized by a calm environment. During these introspective practices, silence, stillness, and calmness are the key to listening to the “body messages” and “being moved”. This allows an empathetic match thanks to the proximity to the natural elements, where through conscious movement and the embodied experience, the physicality and the internal states become the reflection of the “alive” elements that compose the site: The Sacred Valley of the Incas.
