The aim of this research is to explore the perceptions and attitudes regarding the transgression of norms during the mandatory social confinement declared as a measure to confront the Coronavirus type 2 pandemic (COVID-19), in young men between 18 and 30 years old in Lima Metropolitana. For this study, a qualitative methodology was used, with a thematic analysis design that made it possible to identify, from 11 interviews, three areas: the impact and development of the measures during confinement, the perceptions towards the regulatory system before and during confinement, and the perceptions and attitudes towards compliance and non-compliance with the measures during confinement. The experiences of the participants reflect that, due to the pandemic context, both the pandemic and the confinement led to the development of anxiety symptoms that had an impact on the perception of the established norms and their non-compliance. Thus, although the pandemic implied the establishment of solidarity as a social norm to sanction transgression, it was ultimately the perception, positive or negative, of the formal norm and the normative system which determined compliance or transgression of the norms.
