The present innovation proposal is proposed in order to develop geometric competence in the area of mathematics in first-year secondary school students of a private educational institution, who have limitations in enhancing their learning in the development of geometric competence, due to lack of of low proficiency in some educational technological tools. Thus, the general objective of this proposal is to develop mathematical capabilities using Geogebra software on the topic of transformations in the plane and as specific objectives, to develop the ability to model objects with geometric shapes and their transformations; communicate their understanding of geometric shapes and relationships; use strategies and procedures to measure and orient in space and finally argue claims about geometric relationships. For this purpose, a pilot study was carried out that was well received by the managers, who appreciated the innovation proposal, as did the area coordinator, who accompanied during the development phases, placing a score of excellence. It was developed in six weeks, where we worked with the Geogebra software with guide material, proposed activities, tutorial videos and evaluations in the movements of transformations in the plane: symmetry, translation and rotation. Likewise, the students were interested in the proposed activities and very encouraged in the delivery of their products because it allowed them to expand their vision since they developed a dynamic combination of the objects, which also allowed them to discover properties and favor the development of geometric competence. In general, the experience of using Geogebra software was well valued by the actors involved
