(total sistema chileno: US$ 425 miles de millones).
The objective of this study is the valuation of BBVA Peru Bank, in comparison with Banco de Chile; this calculation will lead to obtain the fundamental value of the share as of December 31, 2021. Currently, BBVA Peru is the second largest bank in the Peruvian financial system with a 20% of market share (Total Peruvian System: US$ 137.2 billion), similarly, Banco de Chile is the fourth in the Chilean Financial System with 14% (Total Chilean System: US$ 455.4 billion). For this valuation, the financial statements at the end of 2021, the annual reports of risk rating agencies, information from the supervisory bodies SBS (Peru) and CMF (Chile), as well as macroeconomic information taken from the Central Bank, were used as sources of information of each country. With regards of calculation, the method of Distributable Profits was used, which allows us to know the value of the bank taking into account future dividend distribution flows discounted at the shareholder rate of each country. Finally, as a result of the valuation, the price per share of BBVA Peru was PEN 1.33 (Book value: PEN 1.0) while for Banco de Chile it was CLP 61.9 (Book value: CLP 23.9).
