In today’s world globalization demands knowing what is happening in our local region and nation but also what happens in the world and how those events can impact the society in which we live. Education in the 21st century has the duty to work with the contribution of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), which implies that teachers develop their digital competencies. This study aims to answer the following question: How do the dimensions of digital competence manifest themselves in the teachers of an educational organization of private schools in Peru, in 2017? The studies aimed to identify the dimensions that constitute the strengths along with provide opportunities for improvement in the training of teachers that this private educational organization require. The methodological design of the study is descriptive, quantitative, applied and corresponds to the line of research on Digital Culture. In coherence with the design, the survey technique was based on the application of a questionnaire previously validated by factor analysis and subjected to internal reliability tests. The instrument consists of 52 items distributed in three dimensions (technological, informational and pedagogical). Among the results obtained, it is noteworthy that 33.48% of teachers show an adequate development in Digital Competence, being the technological dimension the one that concentrates the highest percentage (41.14%) of teachers with an adequate development. The dimensions in which teachers show less development are Informational (with only 34.80% of teachers) and Pedagogical (with only 35.56% of teachers).
